What is Forza

Forza in Italian means Strength and the series is stronger than ever this their tenth instalment. A series of simulation racing on Xbox. It seeks to emulate the performance and handling of the true characteristics of real-life production, modified, and racing cars, but it was Jeremy Clarkson who said it best.

" Cars, to some, they're just transport. A convenient alternative to highly flammable dirigibles or walking. But you, you understand cars are far more than this, they are our history. They mark those moments by which we define decades. Cars are some of the most intoxicating, most beautiful things ever forge by mankind. They represent the glory of technology, the essence of freedom, and have been the weapons in some of our most gripping sporting battles. They grip us, they cheer us, they hold us up as heroes. So this is about the love of all things four-wheeled and fast. This is a shrine to power, to speed, to metal made beautiful.

This is where dreams are driven........ Welcome to Forza"

The Story So Far.......

Forza 7 Motorsport #V8Supercars

The Virgin Australia Supercars Championship (formally Australian Touring Car Championship) is the premier motorsport category in Australasia and one of Australia’s biggest sports. Globally, it is recognised as the best touring car category in the world and a leader in motorsport entertainment.

From 1960 to 1968 the Australian Touring Car Championship was decided by a single race, but since 1969 it has been determined by a series, consisting of 16 events across the country with a visit to New Zealand in 2018.

Its title changed from the traditional ‘Australia Touring Car Championship’ to the ‘Shell Championship Series’ in 1999, then the ‘V8 Supercars Championship Series’ in 2003.

A simplified ‘V8 Supercars Championship’ adopted in 2011 was followed by the ‘Virgin Australia Supercars Championship’ with 2016’s naming-rights partnership with Virgin Australia.

From 1995 to 2012 it was solely the domain of the legendary Holden vs Ford battle. A milestone 2013 was the first year of the Car of the Future (COTF) platform.

These cars are lighter, more economical, have increased agility and are more competitive than their predecessors, and create better racing.

That has opened up the Ford vs Holden battleground to other manufacturers, with Nissan also active in the championship with its Altima, while the new Gen2 regulations offer further scope.

For 2020, the series returns to the classic Blue Oval against Red Lion rivalry; more manufacturers are expected to join when the newest wave of regulations come into play as part of the upcoming Gen3 era.

Supercars delivers exhilarating and accessible motorsports-led entertainment to engaged and passionate fans, creating a proud and aligned set of partners, race teams and employees.

Location: Switzerland

Background

Bernese Alps

Whether it’s the tight turns or the breathtaking scenery, mountain passes and fast cars seem to play well together. In that spirit, the Bernese Alps distils the ultimate high-altitude driving experience into a state-of-the-art road course that equal any of the world’s greatest circuits. This track is inspired by the mystique and challenge of the passes nestled among the highest mountain range in Europe, threading the course along old mountain access roads, through tunnels cut into living rock, under craggy glacier-studded summits, past a luxury ski resort, and down to a quintessentially Swiss mountain town. The course is offered in three challenging configurations. There’s the full Festival Circuit, the Stadplatz variant, and the shorter Club Circuit. The primary characteristic of Bernese Alps is the overwhelming sensation of speed. The tarmac is wide and forgiving, allowing you to stay on the track while maintaining a fast clip; throughout much of the course, you’ll be at full throttle. Despite all the room between the rumble strips, you’ll have to exercise exceptional control to hit the apexes perfectly. In whole, the Alps course provides a tremendous rush of velocity for any racer but exceptionally challenging for those working on honing their Forza skills. https://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/games/fm4/tracks/bernese_alps

Mugello

  Type: Circuit

Location: Florence

Terrain: Grassy Hills

Background

Mugello Autodromo Internazionale

With the green, lush Tuscan hills north of Florence as the backdrop, Mugello is one of Italy’s most beautiful tracks. Like many other closed courses worldwide, Mugello was constructed because racing on public roads in the region, held on and off since 1914, had become too dangerous to continue. In 1974, Mugello opened to become a safe and modern course for local events. After being purchased by Ferrari (which owns the course to this day), it was analyzed and remodelled to become an even more modern (and safer) course for year-round use. The Mugello Circuit has an exceptionally long straight and many high-speed S-bends, such as the Casanova-Savelli downhill sequence and the quick Biondetti kinks near the final straight. Perhaps the most famous sections of the course are the Arrabiatta uphill right-handers, ferocious corners whose name in Italian means “angry.” Mugello has hosted several races and series, notably the Mugello Grand Prix, F5000, F3000, and FIA GT racing and several motorbikes series. However, the most important use of Mugello for owner Ferrari is for extensive testing of their newest production and competition cars, particularly their F1 cars. Circuit de Catalunya

Type: Circuit

Location: Spain

Terrain: City area

Background

Circuit de Catalunya

Located just north of the famous city of Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain, the Circuit de Catalunya is one of the world’s most respected, not to mention busiest, racetracks. Home to various motorsports events throughout the year, including open-wheel and motorcycle races, Catalunya is also a testing hotspot for motorsport teams thanks to its centralized European location and temperate climate. The 2.8-mile circuit is a heady mix of curves, elevation changes, and long straights, making it a challenge for engineers and drivers alike. The recent addition of a chicane before the final turn might slow cars down a bit, but the long straight along the main grandstands still make for one of the most famous start/finish lines in all of racing.

Hockenheimring

Silverstone Racing Circuit

Circuit de Catalunya

image147

Type: Circuit

Location: Germany

Terrain: Valley

Background

Hockenheimring

One of Germany's premier racing venues and alternating host to the German Grand Prix, this historic track is located in the scenic Rhine valley in southwestern Germany. The Hockenheimring opened in 1932 as a motorcycle racetrack, where such famous motorcycle brands as DKW and NSU battled for supremacy. The early course was packed-dirt, suitable for the rather wild world of two-wheeled racing, but all of that changed in the mid-1930s when a new circuit debuted. Wider throughout and vaguely oval in shape, the track kept this form until 2001. By then, F1 officials asked for a redesigned course, and the result is shorter by 1.25 miles, removing the forest section straights in favour of more numerous tight turns. While many legendary areas of the track, like the long, flat-out curve known as the Parabolika, were left intact, the changes allowed more fans to view the improved overtaking. The resulting course is notorious for being unpredictable and relentless in its close action racing. As there is virtually no elevation change throughout the flat track, drivers must contend with five long, high-speed straights and several tight corners.

Speeds of nearly 200 mph can be reached on the Parabolika before braking into the famed hairpin ("spitzkehre" in German), one of the most exciting passing spots on any circuit. A few turns later, drivers reach the modern and graceful Mercedes grandstands, which loom above a technical, sharp left-hander roughly halfway around the course—another good place for overtaking rivals. Rounding the final Elfkurve and Sudkurve turns through the immense grandstands, nearly every seat has a view of the final straight and the finish line. https://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/games/fm4/tracks/hockenheimring

Silverstone Racing Circuit

Silverstone Racing Circuit

Silverstone Racing Circuit

Type: Circuit

Location: Britain, Dunsfold

Terrain: Aerodrome

Background

Silverstone Racing Circuit

Like many tracks in the British Isles, including old favorites and newer (but equally notable) additions like the Top Gear Test Track at Dunsfold Aerodrome, Silverstone was once a Class A airfield used by the RAF. During the war, the No. 17 Operational Training Unit operated the Vickers Wellington bomber, famous for its solid but complex geodesic structure. After the war, the idle airstrips were leased by the Royal Automobile Club, and soon afterwards a crude course was set up using the airstrips as parts of the track. In 1948 the inaugural RAC Grand Prix was held. While racing changed significantly over the next several decades, the primary Silverstone circuit remained relatively unchanged through 1974. Afterwards, a series of modifications helped slow the rapidly increasing speeds of the fastest cars—the old Woodcote bend after Farm Straight could be taken nearly flat-out in perfect conditions, sometimes at speeds nearing 160 mph. The addition of the Bridge Section and the Luffield complex, made the course significantly safer—as did the number of additional turns added over the years. The 3.2-mile Grand Prix circuit is home to a wide variety of racing series; Silverstone is most famous, however, as the home of the British Grand Prix (historically an honor sometimes shared with Brands Hatch). Silverstone is also a significant venue for BTCC touring car racing, the Le Mans Series and FIA GT sports car series, and even the host of the occasional D1 Grand Prix drift event. Despite the additions over the years to slow the course down, you’ll find Silverstone to be a fast track that will require skill and dedication to master. Road America

Silverstone Racing Circuit

Silverstone Racing Circuit

image149

Type: Circuit

Location: USA, Wisconsin

Terrain: Woodlands

Background

Road America

One of the oldest and most distinguished of all the tracks in North America is Road America, a road course situated near Elkhart Lake in Wisconsin's scenic woodlands. Much like Laguna Seca, Road America was conceived when racing on public roads was becoming too dangerous to justify. Pressure from race organizers and government officials led to the abandonment of racing on the roads near Elkhart Lake and ultimately to Road America's construction in the span of just five months. The course opened in 1955, and the first race was won by legendary driver Phil Hill in a Ferrari Monza, after a hair-raising final lap that was a duel of nerves with fellow racer Sherwood Johnston's Jaguar D-type—an auspicious sign of the exciting racing that would unfold over the years at the track. Unlike virtually every course of its age, Road America has managed to maintain its original four-mile, 14-turn layout (except for the addition of a chicane during modern AMA races)—despite a major renovation of the track facilities in 1992, all of the elevation changes and sharp turns have been preserved, making Road America a course that must be carefully studied to master. Highlights include Turn 6, located under the Corvette Bridge, where a small hill obstructs the view to the blind left-hander beyond, and the steep climb up the final straight that makes overtaking through speed alone a formidable struggle. Road America is host to many different race series, including the Trans-Am series, challenging drivers of various cars and motorcycles with its sharp turns and hilly terrain.

Control

How it works

On Control, two teams fight over a series of objective areas in a best-of-three format. This means that there is no distinction between attacking or defending teams like in other game modes.

Once the match has started and both teams have left the spawn, the control point takes 30 seconds to unlock. Once it unlocks, the objective area can be captured by either team. To capture the checkpoint, members of only one team must stand on the point for a given time, speed increasing with the number of teammates present. Once captured, the team must defend the point, while the other must gain control of the area by driving the enemies out and capturing it themselves. Note that the objective cannot be captured if a member of the enemy team is also on the control point. The objective score will slowly progress in favour of the team controlling the point. The round is won once one team reaches 100%. The first team to win two rounds wins the match.

Each of the Control maps has three objective areas, randomly chosen for every round.

Until the end of Season 5, the Competitive Play match was played in a format of best of five rather than best of three. The map sectors were randomized for the first three rounds and then reshuffled if the match reached further, guaranteeing each map section to occur at least once. As of Season 6, the Competitive Play matches are also played in the best of three format.

Capture speed increases as the number of players on point increases, up to a maximum of 3 players.

The tables below display the number of seconds required by X players to capture the point.
